I’d love to recommend that if skiing/snowboarding is your thing; call a variety of hotels in Lake Placid and ask the reception about getting a ski lift deal. Don’t simply book a room, and pay the walk-in rate at the ski resort. Many (but not all) hotels are connected to White Face Mountain, and can offer up to 40% off on an entire package! For doing a little bit of investigation beforehand, it’s worth it for savings!
